TRANSACTION
COORDINATOR ACADEMY

The Transaction Coordinator Academy is the brainchild of founder Michelle Spalding. Years ago someone told her “you should teach this.”

The Transaction Coordinator Academy, or TCA for short, is the place for professional training, resources, and support exclusively for transaction coordinators. With a wide variety of training options, individuals seeking to start a career as a professional transaction coordinator, deepen their skills, or even transform their career into a business will find the resources needed to accomplish their goals.

Here at the TCA we’re constantly adding courses, programs, and resources so check in often.

MEET THE TEAM

MICHELLE SPALDING

COACH | AUTHOR | BUSINESS ALCHEMIST

As a feisty little redhead, Michelle enthusiastically told everyone she would be a writer, teacher and own a business when she grew up. It wasn’t until she was in her 40s that she realized she was living her childhood dream.

Today, as a Business Alchemist, Michelle Spalding passionately works with entrepreneurs, helping them to transform obstacles and allowing them to create the life and business of their dreams. She has an almost magic-like ability to find simple solutions to complicated issues. She believes that women who know their value and do the work that inspires them to make the world a better place. Her mission is to empower all women to do meaningful work and live a life they love.

Michelle started her TC business in 2005 to give herself more freedom and flexibility. With three young kids, she believed the only way she would be able to have the time she wanted to spend with them was to become an entrepreneur. It was not always easy, and many times she felt like giving up; however, looking back on it now, she can’t imagine doing anything else. In 2015, she published her first book, “The Road from Contract to Close,” which led to many requests for coaching. Wanting to further help others, in late 2017, she launched the TC Academy to empower those wishing to pursue a career or business as a transaction coordinator to access training and support where she coaches and teaches those in the industry. In early 2020, her second book, “Glitter Duct Tape and Magic,” was published. And in November of 2022, her latest book, “Nathaniel’s Journey,” was published. Over the years, Michelle has helped her clients create what she calls Soul Crafted Success® and has made it her life’s work to support and empower women to pursue their dreams. When she is not in her cozy studio in charming Waco, Texas, she’s often found in the garden, snuggled up with a book, or playing with her biggest fan, the Grand Ginger Princess, her young redheaded granddaughter.

EMILY – SUPPORT

Emily has been a team member since the beginning helping in a wide variety of ways. Currently, she heads up support and makes sure that things are running smoothly for our students, and responds to general inquiries. She also sees to it that books are shipped out to our students quickly. When she’s not busy at school, where she’s a college Senior, she loves to travel and is an avid reader.

PIA – OFFICE MANAGER

Pia has been working with Michelle for many years as the unofficial Office Manager, a title she takes very seriously. She is a popular guest blogger on the Transaction Coordinator Academy site who shares her wisdom as only a zen cat can. When she’s not busy writing, she’s often found napping around the office or glaring at Assistant Manager Luna.

LUNA – ASST MANAGER

Luna joined our team in March 2021 as a rescue from a Waco Animal Shelter.

For the most part, she’s the mischievous one who helps Michelle remember to walk during the day, go outside, and play, as well as finish up the work day at a decent hour. Initially, she was not a fan of our Office Manager, Pia, yet over time they have become the best of pals.

Starting a business is fun and exciting – until it isn’t.

Being an entrepreneur isn’t all Instagram moments, amazing retreats, and coffee with friends. It’s hard work, it’s messy at times, and, some days, it can simply suck. What, you wonder, did you get yourself into? But it doesn’t have to be that way. Success looks different to everyone – and once you define it for yourself, you can start building it and living it.
